The WWE Extreme Rules card is shaping up to be a helpful one with a lot of scores still to be settled from Wrestlemania 26. Here are some predictions of what to expect from the card.
WWE Champion John Cena vs. Batista • Last Man Standing Match
A last man standing match is commonly assigned to a feud or long running rivalry as the punctuation mark, namely the end of the feud. If that were to be the case then it is unlikely that WWE management would move the title back onto Batista. However if Cena wins again then he will have dominated Batista in the ring this time around and surely that will harm Batista• s long term credentials as a main event heel?
Therefore there is a probability that this may not be the end of the feud and it could well rumble into the summer. If that occurs expect Batista to go over here in a brutal match of endurance and once again become the WWE Champion.
Prediction: Batista to regain the WWE Title.
World Champion Jack Swagger vs. • The Viper• Randy Orton • Extreme Rules Match
It would seem a unfamiliar decision for the WWE to have Swagger as a brief transitional champion after investing time in the Money in the Bank concept. However Orton is asriskys and experienced as they come and letting him loose in an Extreme Rules match where anything goes could result in the • All American• having a very short title reign indeed.
Expect Orton to dominate large parts of the match but somehow, for now, Swagger to retain his title.
Prediction: By any means necessary Swagger will retain the World Title somehow.
Triple H vs. Sheamus • Street Fight
This will be an all out war. The decision is crucial for Sheamus as two high profile defeats to • The Game• will see him stuck in mid carder mediocrity for a long time. However a defeat at this moment in time would be equally effecting for Triple H who surely has to be gearing up for another main event run after a lengthy absence from the main event spotlight by his standards.
